Itinerary
Day 01
Chiang Mai – Chiang Dao Cave – Muang Khong – Lisu Village
 

0830hrs, pick up from your hotel by local pick up truck, and drive to the north of Chiang Mai. Stop at local Mae Ma Lai market to get in touch with the local people and enjoy buying food and ingredients with the guide. Then continue driving to explore the cave at Chiang Dao to visit beautiful stalactites, stalagmites and Buddha images. We will drive uphill of Doi Chiang Dao; the 3rd highest peak in Thailand (2,225 m from sea levels). We drive along the winding road but fantastic view of mountains and sceneries. Lunch will be provided along the way. Then drive continues to Karen Village at Muang Khong for beginning our exciting trek.

Late afternoon we start by 1 – 2 hours trek to Lisu village at Baan Huay Din Dam for our first night in the village. Upon arrival, you’re spending the time chat with children while your guide prepares meals for dinner. After dinner, have friendly chat with tour guide to learn the story of hilltribe culture and history.

Day 02
Lisu Village – Elephant ride – Karen Village
Simple breakfast prepared by your guide. Today, we will start by 4 or 5 hours trekking up and down hills. It would be memorable treks under the shade of the rush trees, and through marvelous wild orchids, flora and herbs. We reached the jungle elephant camp around noon time. Lunch and you will have time for relaxing or take a short snap. Late afternoon, we will enjoy with an exacting ride on the elephant ( 1 ½ hour) through the jungle shade heading to another Karen village at Baan Pang Khao Laam which located on the river bank. Spend your free time to walk around the village or enjoy swimming on the river.

Day 03
Karen Village – Bamboo raft – Sobkai – Chiang Mai
After breakfast, briefing how to control bamboo rafting. Then, we are getting on bamboo raft, our new transport. We ride around 2 – 3 hours down the river passing smooth and rapids. Along the way, experience the peaceful tranquility of the river, broken o­nly by the sound of birds and trekkers singing. We reach Lahu village, recheck your raft before keep going o­n to more excitement, passing rocks and rapids for another two hours until we arrive Baan Sobkai ( Shan Village). Lunch at a local restaurant and spend the time for short relaxing while we wait for our local pic up truck to bring us back to the town.
