Itinerary
Day 01
Chiang Mai – Thaton – Boat Trip– Karen Village
0800hrs, pick up from your hotel and departure northwards to sleepy riverside town of Thaton on the banks of Mae Kok River. We drive along winding road to a sleeping town of Tha Ton passing by the breathtaking mountain scenery make for an interesting day. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. Transfer to the pier for boarding on local long tail boat, then ride down Maekok River about 3 – 4 hours to Karen village at Baan Ruammit. Dinner and overnight at Karen village.

Day 02
Karen Village – Elephant Ride – Karen Village
0830hrs, after breakfast we will enjoy ride on the elephant through the jungle for 2 hours heading to Lahu hilltribe village, passing small hilltribe village, bamboo huts and dense jungle. Lunch at the village, and then start trekking for 3 hours to Akha hilltribe village via a small waterfall. Dinner and overnight at Akha hilltirbe village.

Day 03
Akha Village – Golden Triangle – Mae Sai – Chiang Mai
0830hrs, after breakfast continues by walk for one hour to Shan village, and continue bu local truck to Chiang Saen the former capital of Lanna Kingdom. Visit ruins temple and continue to the world’s famous Golden Triangle. Then, continue drive to the northern most of Thailand at Maesai Myanmar border. Lunch will be provided at local restaurant. Return to Chiang Mai and transfer to your hotel.
