The Khum Lanna is a large and very beautiful teak house, situated in the rural heart of Northern Thailand, surrounded by rice fields and orchards. Ringed by tall mountains on three sides, in a small valley of emerald green rice fields and tropical orchards, the ambience is exotic and completely charming. The accommodation provides four large double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with western toilet and hot shower. Activities around the Khum emphasis the rural traditions celebrated in the farm. Water buffalos and a mini museum of local culture are on the site.
ITINERARY
DAY 01
CHIANG MAI - KHUM LANNA
Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and drive to the Hilltribe Museum (closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday) located in the outskirts of the city to learn about the minorities’ way of life. Then proc eed to visit the Orchid Farm and Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden. Afterwards continue to Mae Ngad Dam and embark on a long tail boat for lunch at Raft Restaurant. Travel along the river by boat for 50 minutes to Ban Huay Sai and drive to visit a Lisu village. After your visit continue for dinner at the beautiful teak house of the Khum Lanna.

DAY 02
RETURN TO CHIANG MAI
After breakfast on the terrace where you can overview two hundred rais of rice fields and beautiful mountains, start biking to visit Wat Tham Dork Kum where a huge reclining Buddha image is situated. Then continue biking around the beautiful rural country for an agro-cultural tour to different farms, growing rice, corn, chili, soybean, and seasonal vegetables. Afterwards return to the Khum Lanna for lunch. In the afternoon, time to experience your choice of activities around the farm; learn and try your hand with fruit and vegetable carving or take a short Thai cooking lesson. Also time to have fun with our buffaloes down by the river before transfer to the hotel in Chiang Mai or the Chiang Mai Airport.
